Prayer and Praise Items 

We express our Christian sympathy to James and Lucinda W. in the passing of Lucinda’s mother on Sunday, December 21, and James’ mother on Christmas day.  We pray that the Lord will grant His comfort and grace in this time of sorrow. 

We praise the Lord that Linda M. is doing better after her gall bladder surgery and hopes to be back playing for us soon.   

James and Barbarita Lee, our missionaries with Christian Reformed World Missions, request our prayers for their ministry to Tijuana, Mexico, where they “live in a drug war zone.”  Please pray for God’s protection and blessing on their ministry. 

Jim and Anita A. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, December 28.  Congratulations! 

Congratulations to Amy M. and Bill S., who were married on Saturday, December 27!  We pray that the Lord will richly bless your marriage. 

Barb D.’s surgery on her wrist went well on Tuesday.  She is home recovering and appreciates all the expressions of concern you have shown.   

Congratulations to Kara and Jonathon D. G. on the birth of another son, Kody Peter, born November 16!  A hole in his heart is causing fluid build up in his lungs, and he was having trouble breathing.  Medication is helping, and he is now doing well, but he cannot be exposed to any germs. Please pray for Kody and his family.

Please remember Mary V. in your prayers.  Doctors have found cancer in her stomach, and more cancer on a kidney.  She is having some biopsies taken and will meet with an oncologist to learn her options.

Pastor Jeff Voorhees, one of the candidate pastors we flew out to consider, was killed on Friday, November 21, in a traffic accident in Drenthe, Michigan, where he had accepted a call (www.DrentheCRC.org).  He leaves behind his wife, Katie, and four children under 6: Calvin, Hannah, Felicity and Gabe.  Please be in prayer for his family.
