Welcome to Fresno Christian Reformed Church!

In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says, “Come to me,

all you who are weary and burdened,

and I will give you rest.”

As we come to the Lord in this Lenten season,

may His Word lodge in each heart and mind,

that together we may be mended, strengthened,

enlightened, and challenged.

 

If you are a guest with us today, we would like to express a warm welcome to you.  First time visitors, we have a gift for you!  Please see the person at the information center behind the sanctuary after the worship service. 

 

This morning Pastor Eric Dirksen, the church planter from Davis, will bring us the message, “Blessing” from Luke 1:5 - 25. Next Sunday Pastor Nick Van Beek will continue his series of sermons from the gospel of Matthew with the message, “Moody Jesus” from  Matthew 15:21 - 28 and the Heidelberg Catechism Lord’s Day #1.

Thank you for allowing our Nursery Staff to take care of your little ones.  If you need assistance, our ushers can direct you to our nursery facilities.

 

All children ages 4 through 9 are invited to go to Room 5/6 this morning for Children’s Church during the singing of “Blessed Be the Lord God Almighty.”

 

Sign up for DVD’s, CD’s, or audio tapes at the Information Center and pick them up next Sunday.

 

The DeGroot Memorial Library will be open after our Morning Worship.  Check out the great books and videos.

Our Education Classes will meet today at 11:00 am, following our morning service. There are classes for all ages: Pre-K: Jean M. and Deanna C.; K - 2^nd: Cecilia B. and Julia A.; 3^rd - 5^th: Cyril R.; 6^th - 8^th: Nate M.; and High School: Ernie G. Carl D. J. leads an adult study on Revelation, and Bill V. K. is starting a new video series for adults entitled, “Amazing Grace — the History and Theology of Calvinism.”

 

YAMS (Young Adult, Married and Singles) will meet for small group Bible Study tonight at 7:00 pm at the parsonage. New people are welcome! Snacks: Bill and Amy S.; Drinks: Kourtney V.W.

 

Coffee Break Ladies Bible Study will meet this Tuesday morning at 9:30 am. This season we are studying “The Fruit of the Spirit.” Everyone is welcome! 

 

Women’s Wednesday Night Bible Study meet Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm. We have begun a new study, “Women of the Covenant.” All ladies are welcome!

 

The Council will meet tomorrow evening, March 8, at 7:00 pm.

 

Volunteers are needed to help out at the Computer and Sound Board. Please contact Ron or Sandy if you are available.

Do you like to play Dominoes? Want to learn? We have a fun group that just started meeting the second Thursday of every month, and now we are making room for more!  On Thursday, March 11th we will meet at Sweet Tomatoes on West Shaw for lunch at 11:30 am. If you can’t make it for lunch, please meet us in the Fellowship Hall at 1:00 pm. We try to finish up between 5:00 - 5:30 pm. Come and join the fun! If you have any questions, call Bev M.
